The Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union
From July 1st to December 31st, 2015, Luxembourg will assume the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Holding the Presidency still represents a major challenge for a member state, but it is also a wonderful opportunity to participate in the conception of European politics.
This Presidency also represents an ideal opportunity to promote the multifaceted nature of our country in Europe and around the world.
The emblem, which will represent Luxembourg abroad, has been customized to place the Grand Duchy at the centre of this Presidency. It is primarily composed of the colours of the national flag. For the two series of postage stamps (L50g/E50g), emphasis is placed on the red box which contains the “.lu”.
